Our 9-day itinerary spans two of the Spanish Canary Islands - Tenerife and La Gomera - and it will leave you wanting more. Who could blame you? Lush landscapes, dramatic vistas, exotic flora and fauna, 4- and 5-star accommodations, superb food and wines, and a temperate climate all year long. Visit world-famous Mt. Teide, La Laguna, and the cliffs of Los Gigantes, plus enjoy some of the best stargazing on the planet.
Arrive on Tenerife and meet your private driver, who will take you to Costa Adeje. Once you check into the hotel, the rest of the day and evening are yours to enjoy.
Today is a full day! After breakfast, you’ll be met at the hotel by your guide for a private tour of Garachico and Masca. Your first stop is Icod de los Vinos, where you'll visit the quaint town and see the oldest dragon tree in Tenerife, the Drago Milenario. Next, you’ll visit Garachico - once home to American colonists, this port town served as the gateway for trade between Europe and the New World in the 16th and 17th centuries. The city is defined by its beautiful churches, monasteries, and unique craggy coastline. After lunch in Garachico, you'll visit Masca. At an altitude of 600 meters, its homes are perched on narrow mountain ridges over deep ravines covered in cypress and palm trees. This is one of the most picturesque parts of the island. At the end of the day, your guide will return you to your hotel.
Today, set out on whale and dolphin watch, one of the “must-do” activities while in Tenerife. Just a 15-minute boat ride away from shore, you'll have the chance to spot bottle nose dolphins, pilot whales, and up to 21 other marine species that are common in this area. Since so many of these beautiful creatures inhabit the waters of the Canary Islands, visitors are practically guaranteed to spot marine life every day of the year!
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day to yourself; relax on the beach or explore the town. This evening, you’ll visit Las Cañadas National Park, home to Mt. Teide. This park is characterized by its unique, lunar landscape and beautiful plant life. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007, Mt. Teide is an iconic attraction and a must-see for visitors. Tonight, you'll experience why Tenerife is one of the best locations on the planet for stargazing; its clear skies, low light pollution, and high altitude will allow you to see the night sky like never before.
Head out on a full-day group tour to discover the most authentic flavors of Tenerife and its wines. The day begins with a visit to a banana farm to learn about the fruit's cultivation and taste some products made with banana, gofio, and palm honey, as well as other tropical fruits. The second stop will be one of the two most recognized wineries on the island: Cumbres de Abona or Mencey de Chasna (depending on season and availability). Enjoy a guided tour of the winery, its facilities and machinery, while learning about the wine making process. At the end of this visit, you can enjoy a wine tasting. Finally, the tour continues with wonderful views offered by the mountain road to Vilaflor. Arriving at Bodegas Reverón or Lagar de Chasna (depending on season and availability), you will enjoy another wine tasting, as well as samples of traditional Canarian produce. The excursion will end with a delicious lunch where you will be treated to the best of Canarian cuisine.
Today is yours to enjoy however you wish! You may want to check out your hotel’s spa and gym, or perhaps spend the afternoon shopping.

You will also have time to explore San Sebastian, the island's capital city that was once visited by Christopher Columbus on his way to discover the new world. At the end of the day, board the ferry to return to Tenerife.
The day is yours to enjoy! Consider visiting Loro Parque, a world-class attraction that was originally intended to be a refuge for parrots.
