Romerias

While the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the largest festival of the year in Tenerife, numerous Romerias (street festivals) are celebrated in each town throughout the year. Each with their own flavor, aromas, traditional costumes, and sounds. Among the festivities are contests of gigantic sand art paintings.
