Pioneering Pinolere craft fair a huge success

The 31st edition of the Pinolere Craft Fair has been deemed a huge success as some 25,000 people flocked to La Orotava for the spectacular event. Around 200 artisans from different parts of the archipelago showed live their craft and artistic creations. Virtually all of them said they were very happy with the response, selling many of their items or receiving commissions. This year highlighted the fusion of creative cuisine with avant-garde ceramics, which shows that the craft is adapted to modern times and latest trends.

The programme featured numerous attractions including workshops, clay-making, photography and painting exhibitions, music and the presentation of the first craft beer without gluten, among other things. The fair is one of the most important in the Canaries and hailed as a model for the concept of promoting the crafts, traditions and Canarian popular culture.
