After breakfast, you’ll head to the northern part of the island. First, the tour includes a quick drive through Tenerife’s capital, Santa Cruz. See the how the city’s shops, restaurants, art galleries, natural history museum, colorful buildings, and striking contemporary all contribute to a definitively Spanish cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Next, head to La Laguna, the cultural capital of the Canary Islands. Its historical center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 and is known for its many beautiful churches, including Santo Domingo, the Church of the Holy Christ, and the San Miguel Chapel.
Afterwards, continue to Bodegas Monje Vineyard. Located 500 meters above sea level, the vineyard is situated on rocky ground and dry lava from the nearby volcano, which over time, made the land very rich. Although the wine cellars were built in 1983, Bodegas Monje is a family vineyard dating to 1750. The Monje family is among Tenerife’s first wine producers, cultivating and bottling wine from the three grapes grown here — Listan Negro, Listan Blanco, and Negramoll. Today also includes a traditional Canarian lunch at the vineyard as well as a culinary demonstration and workshop where you’ll learn how to make mojo sauce- the king of Canarian cuisine!

This morning, you’ll start at Masca and trek down the canyon, arriving at the beach. At an altitude of 600 meters, Masca is a small village located in the Teno Mountain range where Tenerife’s original settlers lived. The sight of Masca’s homes perched on narrow mountain ridges atop deep cypress and palm tree covered ravines make this one of the most picturesque parts of the island.
Once at the beach, a boat takes you back to the town of Los Gigantes. While aboard the boat, keep an eye out; you may spot whales and dolphins! Everyone gathers in Los Gigantes for lunch together after the hike.
This afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish. Relax by the pool, partake in a spa treatment, or visit the luxury shops in Adeje.

This morning, set out for a group whale watch, which is one of the “must do’s” while in Tenerife. After a short 45 minute boat ride, spot non-migratory bottlenose dolphins, pilot whales, and 21 other marine species that are unique to this area. Since these beautiful creatures don’t migrate, this means that visitors are practically guaranteed to spot marine life every day of the year! While aboard, enjoy tapas style snacks, sandwiches, and drinks.
This evening, you’ll visit Las Cañadas National Park, home to Mt. Teide. This park is characterized by its unique lunar landscape, flora, and fauna, seen nowhere else on earth. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007, Mt. Teide is an iconic attraction and a must-see for visitors. While here, enjoy dinner and stargazing with one of the leading astronomers in the world. Tenerife is one of the best locations on the planet for stargazing because of its clear dark skies, low light pollution, and high altitude. Due to these exceptional conditions and the activities and guides available to educate visitors, Teide National Park was awarded the “Starlight Tourist Destination” and “Starlight Reserve” certificates by the Starlight Foundation in late 2013.
